UPDATE: 05/27/2023 X-rays were taken because the bird's left leg was splayed. X-rays showed a fractured pelvis. The decision was made to humanely euthanize.
A caller from Columbia City called in about a fledgling screech owl. Hoping to re-nest the little guy I called and found out that 3 large dogs inhabited the lawn where the owl had taken refuge so an examination was in order.
Thirty minutes to Columbia City and then thirty minutes to Soarin' Hawk and there was one more Screech Owl chick in ICU.
